About This Website

Navigation

We have attempted to provide an organized site that provides several means of navigation in an effort to enable you to consistently locate the information you are looking for. The rollout menu on the left allows navigation to all areas of the site in a structured manner (requires Javascript to be turned on - see Technology section below). The Quick Links dropdown box allows you to go directly to the page you desire. At the bottom of every page is a simple text link bar that takes you to the main sections of the site. The Sitemap page links to all major site areas.

Download Speed

This site is designed to be downloaded in less than 30 seconds on a 56K modem and utilizes an interface that will enhance download times of second-level pages. Download time will vary based on connection speed.

This site was created using current technologies. Our desire is to make it easy to use and provide you with the best information possible. The site is tested on Firefox and Internet Explorer. Consider upgrading your browser software if you haven't already done so.

Technology

Some of our menus and special features require Javascript to be enabled on your browser. Occasionally users may have disabled Javascript and the menus will not display or work properly. If you want to keep your Javascript option disabled, use the navigation bar at bottom of each screen.

Pop-up Blockers

Many people have installed software on their desktop that stops "pop-up" windows from appearing. This is usually done to eliminate advertisements, but it can cause problems with Moodle and when this website opens to a new section or links to web pages outside of SAU 16. You may need to close the software or find the "workaround" keystroke to allow popups to work (often holding the shift or CTRL key down, or a similar arrangement).

Search Engine

Our search page uses Google as a search engine. Google is a separate company that provides this service to websites. Periodically, Google searches our website (www.sau16.org) and builds an index database based on information on our web pages. These links may take several days to get updated after a change or additions to our site.
