CMS Music Boosters Officers 2004-2005 School Year:
1. - To purchase Acoustical Shell for CMS stage, approximate cost $15,000. This was thought to be a worthwhile purchase that would benefit all groups using the stage, eliminate some “dead” spots in the auditorium and be a purchase that would be used by groups using the stage for well into the future.
2. - To provide financial assistance for students taking private lessons as the need arises.
3. -To provide financial assistance to students who attend the UNH Summer Youth Music Camp in 2005. This camp is open to 7th and 8th graders and was thought to be a very worthwhile experience for students who wanted to participate.
Various ways to raise funds were discussed. Possibilities included:
After much discussion it was decided that the following fundraisers would be looked into as possibilities for this year:
Eric Kobb will discuss all fundraising ideas with the school administration.
Sign-up sheets recruiting volunteers to help out at the upcoming concerts Bake Sales are needed. These sheets provide parents with the opportunity to either help out selling goods during the bake sales or send in baked goods to be sold. Jen Ramsey will type up the form and distribute it to the students in the music program to be brought home. These will then have to be sorted out into various groups. This way people can be contacted before concerts and asked to help out. Concerts begin in Nov this year.
Audrey Dean volunteered to organize the basket to be raffled at the Music Fun Night.
Based on date of the 2005 Super Bowl, Pizza Delivery Day was tentatively set for Thursday Feb 3rd.
Vicki Marbacher will check into the Galley Hatch night idea.
Susan Dodge will work on the Commemorative Decoration idea.
The next meeting date will be held Tuesday October 12th at 6:30 in the Band Room at CMS.
