The meeting began at 6:30.

In Attendance at the meeting were: Eric Kobb, Andy Ingzenga, Cyndi McCleary, Sue Sarosiek, Vicki Marbacher, Tim Anderson, Liz Nardone, Susan Dodge, Carol Bridges, Cathy Hammon & Jennifer Ramsey.

Minutes from the October 2004 meeting were accepted without any changes.

Treasurer’s Report- Vicki reported that the current balance in the checkbook was $3102.01. 1 check was written last month for lessons.

Parent Survey Forms – These are still coming in. Carol Bridges has put together a list of parent’s names and the various upcoming events for which they could volunteer. Liz Nardone and Tim Anderson will do calling for the concerts in November. Kim Whitham will get a list from Cyndi McCleary for future calling. Kim will call for the December 7th chorus concert. Audrey Dean’s husband stopped in and picked up a phone list and said Audrey will also make calls. Kim W. should contact Audrey to talk about how to split the list up for calling.

November Bake Sales – Upcoming bake sales are scheduled for the 7th & 8th grade band concert on November 16th and the 6th grade band and Wind Ensemble concert on November 18th. The Music Boosters will contact people to help with the bake sales. Vicki Marbacher will provide the change box needed for the bake sales. Susan Dodge will provide the tablecloths for the bake sales. 70 bottles are left over from last year’s sales. These will be used and Vicky will also purchase 8 cases of soda to sell at concerts. 3 workers are needed for each bake sale and 10 people need to volunteer to make baked goods to be sold. All baked good must be individually wrapped and labeled if they contain nuts of any kind. Liz, Vicky and Cyndi will work the 11/16 bake sale and Tim and Susan will work the 11/18 sale.

Commemorative Decoration–Susan Dodge will put an order in for 250 commemorative decorations and hopefully they will be in within a week to 10 days. One of the three people working each bake sale will be assigned to selling the commemoratives. Cyndi McCleary will do this on Tuesday night the 16th and Susan Dodge will do this on Thursday night the 18th. The prototype is in and will be available to be shown at the concert and orders can be taken. Eric will make an announcement about the availability of this item during the concert. An announcement will be done up by Jennifer Ramsey and included in the program. The bill for the prototype and reimbursement to Susan Dodge was approved for payment. We are still working on getting a way to sell these at the November 20th craft fair. We may be able to join a table being set up by the Chamber Choir. Eric will let us know about this possibility.

December Chorus Concert- The December 9th concert has been cancelled and all singing groups will perform on December 7th.

CD Production – Eric is still looking into this as a fundraising possibility. He is in discussion with a composer and waiting to hear more information.

Pizza Sale- Sue S. will contact the pizza company about the details of this.

Restaurant Social Event- Audrey put together a list of restaurants in the Exeter area. These restaurants can be contacted to inquire about having a charity night where a portion of the proceeds from that night will go back to the Boosters. A letter will be put together with a possible mailing date of January 2005 in mind. Further discussion will be done in the December meeting.

Letter Writing Campaign-Further discussion on this was tabled until the December meeting.

NEW BUSINESS:

The Chamber Choir is planning a trip to Chicago to sing with another choir and compete in a choir competition. A 50/50 raffle will be done at all the concerts to raise money for this trip.

Eric is looking into a way to motivate band members to practice for the concerts with the kids teaching the parents how to play their instruments. Parents will then perform in a concert together. He will continue to fine-tune this idea before presenting it to parents.

We gladly accepted an anonymous donation from a band parent for $30.00. This brought up a discussion of offering a way for parents to contribute to the Music Boosters by donating money at the beginning of the year. There could be various levels of donations available, for example, Treble Clef $50.00, another level $75.00 etc. We will talk about this more at the December meeting.

Music Fun Night is scheduled for January 20th.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:25.

The next meeting of the Music Boosters will be on December 14th at 6:30.

The minutes are submitted by Cyndi McCleary.
