Brentwood School Board Meeting

Monday January 24, 2005

6:00 p.m. --  Swasey Central School

Members present:      AM Chesno, J Hayes, T Hannan, M Johnson

Administration present:         J Frew, Asst. Superintendent, J Ostrowski, Principal

Others present:          R Wendell, Maintenance Superintendent, E Oddo, Maintenance Supervisor

1. Chair AM Chesno called the meeting to order at 6:10 p.m.

2. Visitor Discussion

V Knudson brought the RSA to share with the board the requirements for posting of draft meeting minutes.  The chair had received the same information from the SAU Office and the 144 hours requirement was then communicated to all present.  Knudson also noted that the December 13^th approved meeting minutes were not on the web site. The Chair directed the Assistant Superintendent to ensure positing immediately.  Knudson also requested that the Board consider posting draft meeting minutes at Lindy’s Market or the Town Library, rather than the SAU office.  The Chair stated that this would be an agenda item for February.

3. Report form the Chair

The Chair reviewed the previous Budget Committee meeting and then Principal Ostrowski reviewed her full Budget Report.  A motion was made by T Hannan to post the full Budget Report on the web; seconded by M Johnson.  Vote – unanimous

4. Old/New Business

M Johnson had a list of Brentwood School District policies requiring review for possible elimination.  The Board moved this item to the February meeting.
