BRENTWOOD SCHOOL BOARD MEETING

Members Present: Anne Marie Chesno, Chair; Virginia Knutson, Vice-Chair; Liz Faria; Tim   Hannan; and Michael Johnson

 

Administration Present:  Jerry Frew, Assistant Superintendent; Joan Ostrowski, Principal

 

Others Present:  Cathy Blaisdell, Barbara Pollard, Mary Wills, and Amy Wilson

 

1.    Chair Chesno called the meeting to order at 6:44 p.m.

Everyone joined in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. 

 

2.    Non-public session

The Board did not enter into non-public session during this meeting.

 

3. Budget Presentation

Principal Ostrowski provided the Board with possible reductions that could be made to the Board recommended 6.6% budget should the voters approve the Budget Committee’s approved 4.72% increase on March 10^th. She cautioned that these were based on the current projections for the 07-08 school year and could need revision depending on any changes.  Principal Ostrowski will define the costs associated with the reductions for the School Board prior to March 10^th.

 

4.    March 5^th Informational Meeting

The School Board approved (with revisions) a flyer announcing the meeting to be mailed to Brentwood residents and placed at the Town Hall and the Bartlett Library.

           

The Board discussed the agenda for the March 5^th 7:00 p.m. meeting.  They will address ‘Frequently Asked Questions’ and share a Power Point presentation that outlines the Board’s budget proposal for the 07-08 school year.

There was no public comment at this meeting.

 

6. Adjournment

 

MOTION – Board Member Faria moved to adjourn the Brentwood School Board Meeting at 7:13 p.m.; Board Member Hannan seconded.   Vote - Unanimous
