ERCSD Facilities Committee Meeting

ADMINISTRATION PRESENT:      Arthur Hanson, Walter Pierce, Dick Wendell and Gary Heald

Chair Cushman opened the meeting at 6:00 PM.  The following agenda items were discussed and/or acted on by the committee.

 

1.       New High School: Walter Pierce reviewed the color scheme for the EHS library and the four colors for lockers in classroom wings.  Much discussion about the purple – we will wait to see final colors.  Also discussed room numbering and whether or not to retain alphabetical wing designations being used during construction.  No final decision.  Mr. Pierce also updated us in the furniture budget and the technology bidding.  Phase I is complete.

 

We now know that with steel prices having risen and air conditioning costing more, as well as the cost of improvements to Route 27, we are well into our contingency fund.  The site contractor has all site improvements being complete by late fall, with possible exception of finishing the tennis courts, as his goal.  That would include the track, fields, bleachers and berms.

 

Lucy reviewed the arrangement with the school abutters that every two weeks, they would meet on Wednesday morning with Jim Klemarczyk, Project Superintendent, to keep them informed about the project.

 

2.       Adjournment: The board adjourned at 6:40 PM for a brief Non-Public Session.  On a motion by Roy Morrisette, seconded by Ray Trueman the committee voted to go into non-public session under RSA 91-A:3 II.(a).  No votes were taken in non-public.  At 6:55 PM on a motion by Roy Morrisette, seconded by Ray Trueman the committee came out of non-public session.
