ERCSB Communication Survey Committee

1)      Attendance- Dr. Hanson, Kris Magnusson, Townley Chisholm, Lucy Cushman, Sally Oxnard.  Audience: Wendy MacArthur- Keith, Nate Merrill,  John Hazekamp

3)      Old Business-

 

                        Upcoming teacher survey- The teacher’s union representatives will distribute surveys at the upcoming staff meetings. Each response will be sealed in an envelope and then collected in two big packets which will be handed by the union representatives to the UNH Survey Center driver. They will collate the results of this survey and the previous two, and present  the data at a committee meeting and then the full board in May.

                       Dr Hanson will communicate with Griffin, Bode and Krauss to see if they still have the raw survey data from the ’05 survey as that would be easier for the UNH survey center to use than the percentage of respondents data which we have.

 

4)      New business- review of some recommendation from the ’05 survey.

a)      include the teachers more in academic decisions- progress discussed

b)      have regular staff meetings with agendas- progress discussed

c)      will continue the discussions after the new survey comes in

 

5)      Alert Now is a soft ware program which we could consider which is a web based emergency communication system  which can place 6,000 calls in 10 minutes- does not tie up incoming phone lines. Cost is $3 per student. It can be use to send any message at any time. Dr Hanson will get back to the full board when he has a proposal.

6)      Next meeting in April when we have the preliminary UNH Survey data to review-
