Budget Workshop

 

Attendance

School Board: Jan Trueman, Mark Bouzianis, Mike Grant

Administration:  Dennis Dobe, Steve Kossakoski

Budget Committee:  Barbara Eastman, Ray Buxton, Jody Linnehan, Jay Sheehy

Topics discussed:

·         Dr. Kossakoski and Mr. Dobe addressed questions posed by Ms. Eastman

·         Mr. Grant requested that administration prepare a list of reductions to reduce the proposed budget by $25,000.

·         The rising cost of Special Education services was discussed.  Mr. Dobe noted that several new pre-school aged children have been added to the NES caseload.

·         The impact of budget increases on taxes was discussed. Ms. Eastman reported on her work with the town budget committee.

·         The budget committee requested that an updated budget be sent to them in early January.

·         The next budget workshop is scheduled for January 12, 2004.
