1.       CALL TO ORDER:  Ms. Bellisio called the meeting to order at 8:12 AM

2.       NON-PUBLIC SESSION- may be called at any time in accordance with Chapter 91A:3II, a, b, c, d,

3.       VISITORS

3.1.   Mr. Ed Oddo:  Mr. Oddo reviewed the quotations he has received to demolish the buildings, fill cellar holes, and clean the site.  He recommended that the Board approve the sum of $25,000 which includes  all site work, removal of asbestos and/or hazardous material, if required, and a contingency budget of $3,000. 

4.       BUILDING AND GROUNDS

4.1.  Parking lot project:  The Board discussed demolition of the houses and cleaning the lot adjacent to the school.  The Board discussed the feasibility of soliciting bids to buy and remove the houses from the lot.  One contractor has already looked at the project and decided that it would be too expensive to purchase and remove the buildings. 

4.2.   Action:  Authorize to expend funds to demolish houses
Mr. Army made a motion to demolish the buildings on the school land adjacent to NES and clean the site at a cost not to exceed $25,000.  The project is to be substantially completed on, or before,
June 30, 2006.  Seconded by Ms. Trueman.  All members voted in favor of the motion. 

5.       NEW BUSINESS

5.1.   End of year calendar

5.1.1.Last day of school for students, June 16

5.1.2.Last day for teachers:  Mr. Dobe reviewed his proposed plans for using June 19 and June 20  for professional development and curriculum planning. Mr. Army made a motion for the professional staff to complete the school year as contracted  by working on June 19 and 20. Seconded by Ms. Trueman.  All members voted in favor of the motion.

6.1. Board Meeting: June 13, 2006

7.       ADJOURNMENT:  Ms. Trueman made a motion to adjourn at 8:47 AM.  Seconded by Mr. Army.  All members voted in favor of the motion.
