Consideration of matters relating to the preparation for and carrying out of emergency functions, including training to carry out such functions, developed by local or state safety officials that are directly intended to thwart a deliberate act that is intended to result in widespread or severe damage to property or widespread injury or loss of life.

4. Brief description of subject matter discussed: Chair Breton requested that the board unseal the August 8, 2007 non-public minutes.
5. Decision made in non-public session: On a motion from Katherine McDonnell, second by Bruce Scamman, the board voted unanimously to unseal the minutes.
6. Brief description of subject matter discussed: Luke Breton and Bruce Scamman discussed with the board the proposed contract for the 2008 – 2009 school year.
7. Decision made in non-public session: On a motion by Bruce Scamman, second by Jim Dubela the board voted unanimously to accept the terms of the contract with the typographical amendments.
8 Brief description of subject matter discussed: Chair Breton discussed the request of a staff member to “freeze” the member’s sick days at sixty three (63).
9. Decision made in non-public session: After considerable discussion, on a motion from Bruce Scamman, second by John Hazekamp, the board voted unanimously to waiver the portion of Article XIII, Short Term Leaves, of the Stratham School District and the Stratham Teachers’ Association that states “No more than seven (7) of these days may be used for the illness of family members” so that the staff member can use all, or part, of the sixty three (63) sick days for family care.
