How does SAU 16 Plan to Handle Emergencies?

-All our schools have undergone a school safety assessment done by NH homeland security specialists. This assessment has guided planning security and safety upgrades in our schools. -The SAU 16 Director of Safety and Security completed the SAU 16 Emergency Operations Plans for the New Hampshire Department of Education. -The SAU 16 Director of Safety and Security completed an emergency operations plan template that all schools used to develop their own emergency operations plans. -All SAU 16 schools have completed a 911 audit ensuring calls made coordinate with the exact location. -The SAU 16 School Safety and Security Committee meet three times per year to review emergency preparedness with State and local police, fire department, Rockingham Dispatch, Rockingham Sheriffs, First Student Bus Company, and SAU 16 Administrators, Staff and School Board Members. -Familiarize local police departments with school layouts. -The SAU 16 Director of Safety and Security worked with New Hampshire Department Homeland Security Intelligence Center to create large scale tactical maps of every school in SAU 16. -All SAU 16 Schools have developed reunification plans.
