-The SAU 16 Director of Safety and Security has applied and received numerous safety grants from the State of New Hampshire to improve security measures. These grants include: -Update our communications ability within schools. -Increase security measures to reduce access on schools. -Secure lobby addition at Newfield’s Elementary School. -Install automated lockdown system at Kensington Elementary School -Conduct reunification drill with students and parents participating -Review fire alarm protocols during a lockdown -Develop a “hotline” for “see something say something.” -Explore the development of threat assessment team
